Shrimp Creole Crockpot Recipe
1kg (or approx 2 lb) tomatoes (fresh is best but tinned is fine), diced
750g (or approx 1+ Â½ lb) shrimp (fresh is best, but frozen is fine), de-veined
250g (or approx Â½ lb) tomato sauce
6 stalks celery, sliced
6 drops Tabasco sauce
4 cloves garlic, crushed or minced
2 large onions, diced
1 large red bell pepper/ capsicum, diced
1 teaspoon salt
Â½ teaspoon ground black pepper (fresh is best)
Into your crockpot, add all ingredients EXCEPT shrimp.
Set your crockpot to â€˜low heatâ€™ and cook for 7 hours.
(Alternatively, you could set your crockpot to â€˜high heatâ€™ and cook for 3.5 hours.)
Add shrimp/ prawns, and set your crockpot to â€˜low heatâ€™ and cook for 1 more hour.
Serve shrimp creole over steamed rice and dream of the sizzling South!!
